Classical Consulting Services

Classical Educational Consulting Services provides guidance and oversight for individual families and schools. Our experience includes working with students with learning difficulties and students typically labeled “gifted”. We believe all students are created with strengths to celebrate and tame and weaknesses to acknowledge and develop. Our service for families includes an assessment of the student and specific curricular suggestions which fit the needs of the child. For schools, we offer program assessment and guidance in program planning and development. In all cases, we approach our tasks from a biblical and classical perspective.

tours

Classical Educational Tours

Classical Educational Tours provides trips both States side and overseas which complement and enhance the classically educated student. Known as The Grand Tour during the mid 17th century through the early 19th century many students, mostly men, traveled through France, Italy and Great Britain experiencing other cultures and studying the great works of art and architecture. The mission of Classical Educational Tours is to plan and offer trips which give the students experiential knowledge of the history, culture, art and geography which they are studying. And to have a fun time, too! Tours are fast paced and designed for small groups. We are not interested in mimicking typical school field trips which are generally chaotic and educationally worthless. Trips include in depth visits of Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, Italy, the United Kingdom and France.

school

The Classical School

The Classical School offers classes for students in grades three through twelve. Subjects are taught through the methodology known as the Trivium (grammar, logic, and rhetoric), the educational foundation of our Western culture. We ground all that we seek to do upon the revelation of God, both in creation and in Scripture, with the former being interpreted by the latter. The triune God of Scripture has created an ordered universe, which can only be fully known through an orderly submission to His revelation of Himself in Scripture.

The quality of program is our top priority. We do not seek fame or fortune. We strive to excel and equip people to do what they are called to do with passion, confidence, integrity and skill. The discipline they acquire as children prepares them for positions of leadership as adults. Too frequently people are satisfied with mediocrity which is a natural result of committee compromises. Our pledge is to work with responsible, dedicated parents to provide an exceptional education for their children and their grandchildren.

Steve and Terree

Steve and Terree began CES, Inc. in 2003. Having spent all of their careers in private education as teachers, therapists and administrators, they saw the value that small group classes could have for students who were being primarily educated at home. The rich interaction between children eager to learn and express themselves is often stifled in a typical classroom setting. Steve and Terree wanted to offer that stimulating option to home educating families who were serious about providing their children with more than just a mediocre education.

The Classical School, begun by Steve as an extension of a private Christian school in Roswell, Georgia, provided the foundation for that endeavor. Given the opportunity to take The Classical School independent, Steve and Terree started Classical Educational Services, IncCES, Inc. enables them to put their training and experience to work to enhance the efforts families were making in teaching their children at home.  Read More
